Words a Mother Really Understands
This past weekend we we cleaning the house and the kids were fighting over who got to mop the kitchen floor we had just bought a new mop and all the kids wanted to do it. Briana was supposed to get the first chance cause she had wanted to mop before we got the new mop with just a rag but made her wait until we got the mop. However before we could get the floor swept and ready I got mad at her and she went to her room and locked the door and fell asleep. The door has a key lock and we didn't have a key and figured she would eventually wake up and open the door. Needless to say she lost out on her chance to mop the floor so Carson got to mop it. I think he worked on it for at least 30 minutes or so. We did eventually go upstairs and get a key to the door and opened it and woke her up about an hour and a half later. So Sunday comes and Carson is on the kitchen floor putting on his shoes for church when he looks under the table and says, "I just mopped the floor yesterday and it is already dirty". I thought to myself, "I think I say this to myself everytime I clean anything" it seems like kids can mess anything up five minutes or less after you clean it so I think that the kids definately need to do the cleaning more often maybe they will learn to appreciate things when they were clean. Then again maybe that is too much to ask of a child!!!!

Classic!!!
That is so funny! I can just see Carson saying that! :) I'd better start letting my kids mop. ;)
It's time to making mopping a regular chore around here! ;) Hey I sent that check off yesterday so be watching for it.
