Update
I told Steve last night that I had a crappy weekend and it started last Wednesday so I guess it was more like a bad week not just a weekend. I think all of the stress is just getting to me. We had the offer on Wednesday and sent the counteroffer back and it was supposed to be returned to our agent by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. No one called or said anything so later in the evening we called our agent and she said the other agent had called back and said the people had signed the papers but he was at a ball game and hadn't gotten them sent over. So our agent was hopeful but not wanting to say for sure without the proof, who could blame her for that one. So thursday night we go ahead with another showing which meant flight of the bumblebee and clean the house again. We had another showing scheduled for Friday but she said if we got the paper work we would not need to show it. Friday comes along and no news from the our agent we try to call her three or four times and just get the voicemail. We have no idea if the showing at four is still on or not and the house is already messy again. We arrived at our house at 3:55 p.m. and the person wanting to show the house pulls up just as we do so I run in the house and pick up as much as I can in five minutes before the people arrive and grumble about how nice it would have been to know that this showing was still on. I think maybe at ten oclock on Friday night our agent calls back and says she talked to their agent again and he said he emailed the papers but she still hadn't gotten them. It was nice because she didn't call back with any showings over the weekend so we were relaxing and the kids had stuff everywhere and Sat. at about 2:10 the couple that made the offer show up at the door and want to know if they can take another look around cause they were going to go look for some decorations. Of course we told them they could but there were pillows on the floor and crayons and papers and the groceries I hadn't put away from the store the day before and we had just gotten back from Costco so it was not in the best of shape but they looked anyways. Yesterday finally rolled around and I hadn't done any cleaning so you can imagine what the house is looking like after three days of not much picking up and I had intentions of doing some homework that really needs done and paying the bills. Later in the afternoon Steve calls to tell me he talked to our agent and the other people's lender need proof that other houses similar to ours in the area have sold for a similar price. They want them to be in the last six months. They aren't finding any on the internet so if we know of any that would be great. I said that is what I am paying an agent to do and we don't know anyone who has sold in the last six months. I was very frustrated at the situation, Steve also said that our agent thought we should probably go ahead and keep showing the house just in case things don't work out. I said it better not be today!!! I jinxed myself right there. I cooked dinner and didn't really burn it but it started to smell kind of burned. We had just finished and the table had not even been cleared when my agent called to say someone wanted to come and look between 7-8:30 this is 6:15 I said really well before 8 would be best cause I put the kids into bed at 8 so she said she would let them know. Flight of the bumblebee once again was needed majorly. I picked up the last real mess in the livingroom as I see the people pull up out front at 7:00 sharp I was glad they came early but seriously how am I supposed to get homework done when I have all of these last minute things that I have to clean for or jobs that my agent should be doing that they want me to do????? I need a cave to hide in for the next two weeks so I can actually get decent grades on my school work. Better news today the agent found a couple of houses that were comparable so the people that made the offer are going to go ahead with an appraisal so if all goes well there I think we are still on track to close at the end of the month. We are glad for the offer and hope things work out it has just been stressful and slightly frustrating for me if you couldn't tell. I will stop complaining now and hopefully have a better day now that I have done my ranting. We are thankful for all our blessings and that Heavenly Father does take care of us I guess we just have to remember he didn't say it would be easy!!!!

WOW - I don't miss those days at all. However, my agent always called and said, "Hey we are pulling into the parking lot, are you home?" Hello - I have a 15 month old and a new born - you except this place to be clean? Oh well - I hope everything works out! Are you really going to AZ? What part?
Why can houses not stay clean? We clean our house every night, and by 10 a.m. the next morning it is a total disaster. I feel for you. Thanks for the update. I was wondering what was going on.
Whew... I'm tired just reading all about it. I'm sure you were super tired. I've sold two houses in the last 6 years, and everytime it's so stressful. Hang in there, and good luck.
Holy Cow is it just me or is everyone looking at your house. I thought we were in a recession. I am super happy that you are having good luck with your house. And don't worry about your house being that messy. The reason those people are looking at your house is because it is bigger than what they have now. They are just looking for more room to spread their crap every where. I bet there houses look worse. Plus we are harder on ourselves then others so maybe they don't think it looked that messy. Just tell a jock when they come. I left everything out so you could see how it looks when you are done eating or when your kids make a mess....etc...
how frustrating! i bet you will be so glad when all this is over!
It was so good to talk to you yesterday. I hope all of the madness stops so you can get your homework finished up for your classes. I'm praying for Steve to find something soon.
