HA HA HA!! Joke Slightly Backfired!!!
Sooooo yesterday after playing the offer on the house joke on Steve he called me about an hour later. He is laughing on the other end of the line and says "You will never believe me" LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH I said, "Ok what" He said "Lori (our agent) really did just call me and someone did make an offer on the house. I said ya right but thought it was a little lame of him to try to pull the same joke on me so I was believing him that she probably did. He said he didn't know how much it was for though the agent was on her way to the office in about 20 minutes and would email us the paperwork. Steve had a meeting to go to and my visiting teachers came and went and I kept checking the email and even started doing my homework while sitting in front of the computer so I would know as soon as the email came through. An hour and a half goes by and nothing I am starting to think maybe Steve really was joking. So I decide to check the cell phone calls on the internet to see if she really did call. She did call him so I waited a little longer and he called me back and a couple minutes later the email came through and we looked it over and laughed. They totally offered $10,000 less than we were asking and wanted us to pay $3000 for closing costs. Basically we wouldn't make any money and definetly wouldn't have a good down payment on a new house so we called our agent back and told her what our counteroffer would be she said she thought it was reasonable and would draw up the paper work. A couple of hours later she called back and said she talked to the buyers agent and he thought they would probably go for our counteroffer so they have until 5:00 p.m. today to decide so we will see how it works out. I guess that will teach me not to use such real possiblities as jokes in the future. It wasn't such a joke after all. I had just laughed a couple of days ago at a joke I heard on one of the morning shows there was a girl that had just had a baby and so she joked with her family that she was pregnant again, later to find out she really was pregnant again. The kids were so cute and trying to joke all day long. Carson told Briana he got to stop at a store on his way home and buy a new toy, she said really. He said April Fools and she laughed. They were funny.

That was one fun April Fools you had at your house! I hope that everything goes well with the counter offer...for your sake not mine! I know we don't see you much anymore but I'll be sad to see you go! Keep me posted! Love ya!
I love it when jokes backfire in a good way. Congrats!
Good Luck - hope it works out. We counter-offered like 5 times
How exciting. I hope it all goes well. Maybe in June when we go to visit Heidi you will be down in Arizona as well.
Good luck with the offer. I love it when the house sells quickly.
Yay! Yay! Yay! I'm sure it will all work out. Most people offer low expecting a counter offer.
Sarah I am so excited to hear that. How did it work out? Now I'm going to have to call ya and find out. Be expecting me.
