Conference Weekend

Wow!!! We were busy, or at least I was busy. Friday morning one of my wonderful neighbors brought me a bucket of plums and said I could have more if I wanted them off of her tree. I had talked to her about the plums a few weeks ago because my mom had given us some plum jelly that she had and now that is the only kind Sierra will eat and we only have three jars left. I didn't have time on Friday to do anything with them so I got up early on Sat. and started working on them. I got them cooked and strained and my jars washing part way through the first session of conference then I watched the rest of it and then I got done making the jelly about fifteen minutes after the second session started. Steve and Briana didn't get much out of the second session as you can see from the picture. Steve was even snoring but he did inform me that at least he can stay awake for the Priesthood Session this way!!! Whatever makes you feel better hun. Steve also ran to the store and got some hamburger that was on sale and came home with some 30 pounds or so. While he was at the Priesthood session I made two lasagna's, three meat loaf's, and 36 hamburger patties, and baggied the rest of it up. Needless to say I was tired but also felt very enriched from the wonderful conference talks. I love the talks that tell us that even though life isn't always perfect if we strive to keep Christ in our lives and rely on him we will be blessed and comforted during our trials. I always love to hear about all of the new temples that will be built too. I can only imagine how excited the saints in those areas must be to hear this exciting news. Hope everyone enjoyed conference like we did and we hope we can try to live our lives a little better each day. We are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives.
