So it was Martha's last weekend with us and we hadn't done anything exciting so we decided to head into Zion's National Park for the day and do a little hiking!! We packed a lunch and got everyone's warm clothes on them and headed out the door. We had to take two cars because we had too many people for only one so I head out first and we are driving down the freeway when Steve calls me. I am thinking he thinks I don't know where I am going. I can't get my phone out of my pocket till after he calls so when he finally gets ahold of me he tells me to pull over at the next exit cause my tire is going flat and head back to town!! So I pull off at the exit and get out and look at the tire and you can hear the air coming out..... Steve says head back to town..........I say heck no I am not driving this back to town with it loosing air that fast......So I pull over off the main exit road and get out and look and the tire is basically completely flat. That took me about 2 minutes maybe town was at least 5-10 minutes away. Needless to say I forgot to take a picture of us freezing our fannies off trying to change our tire.

Some things just aren't meant to be!! While freezing just changing the tire we decide that maybe it is a little cold to go hiking today and head back to town to get the tire fixed. While waiting for the tire we decide to just drive up our mountain a little ways and show Martha some of the pretty views there. We stopped at a park at the bottom of the mountain and ate our picnic lunch then we all squished in the van and headed up the mountain. We didn't really get to pull off an look at anything cause the snow was too deep but we saw lots of pretty things and saw lots of people cutting down their Christmas trees and sang some Christmas songs and just had an enjoyable time. Martha said she was glad we went cause she misses the mountains so it was fun!! I am sure Martha will post some of the pictures of the mountain sometime so if you want to see those you will have to check out her blog cause she was in the front taking the pictures. I think she might have got one of Steve changing the tire too but not sure!! It was a fun little adventure probably one we won't forget for a while!
