Baby Paityn and the Baby ChicksTowards the end of school Carson's class was hatching baby chickens. Carson comes home one day asking if he can buy some? We have 7 chickens already but that is a stretch in the animal department for me so of course I said NO!!! Carson decided to ask his dad who said if you can wait till I can fix them a coop then you can get them. The next morning Carson gets into the car for school with his $6 he has to get the chickens that day or they will be gone from the classroom how could I tell him no after his dad said he could have them? So I rounded up a box and picked the kids and three baby chickens up after school. The fun (like with any animal) lasted about 3 days then the cleaning of the box and the feeding and watering was work not fun anymore. Carson did take pretty good care of them though and they are all still alive and have just a couple of days ago joined the other 7 chickens in the big coop!! These were some fun pictures of Carson and his friend playing with the baby chickens and even Paityn liked to hold them but we had to be careful she didn't squeeze too hard!!!
