I just wanted to share a couple of things about Sierra. About a week and a half ago we were just finishing up dinner and Sierra was telling us about this boy that hit her leg at school. Steve asked her if she knew why boys did things like that and he proceeded to tell her the boy must like her. Then we started teasing her about this other boy in her class that has been giving her something or a note everyday for quite some time. All of a sudden Sierra lets out this giddy giggle and says "I don't know why I have to be so HOT." I just started laughing I thought it was so funny that she would say that.
Yesterday Steve stood in a line to get us tickets to get the H1N1 flu shot so our time slot was between 8:00 - 8:30 this morning so we got there about 7:30 and got in line and by the time we got to the front of the line it was a little after 8. They had Steve sit on the chair and hold each one of the kids to get their shots. They had them go youngest to oldest. For some reason Sierra decided to watch Briana get hers and she then wished she hadn't watched. I got mine when they were all done and we were headed out of the building. Steve needed to stop at another office and get a different shot too so we stopped at the door and I was going to take off with the kids and so I told them to get their coats on and when I look down Sierra is sitting on the floor putting on her sweatshirt. I quickly tell her to get off the dirty floor and she says she doesn't feel well and she stands up and is very pale. Luckily there was a chair a couple of steps away so I had her sit down and put her head between her knees and then gave her some water. She thought this was a very interesting morning and is excited to share her almost passing out experience with her school class next Monday when they have their "Monday meeting". I think the combination of not having had anything to eat or drink yet this morning and the stress of the shot just got to her. She said her ears were ringing and she couldn't see things very well. I am just glad she sat on the floor because if she didn't she might have actually passed out and could have gotten hurt. I think it will be an experience she will remember.
