So this last week I celebrated my 30th birthday!!! The day didn't start off too exciting Steve asked me what I wanted for dinner, I said nothing and he left it at that. I got up got the kids breakfast and got them ready for school then Steve took them to school then I did some cleaning and laundry you know the same old stuff we do everyday how come getting older is so exciting???? I did tell Steve I wanted soup, salad, and breadsticks at Olive Garden for lunch so him, Briana and I went to a late lunch and therefore were not hungry for dinner which was fine cause Steve and I went to a play in the evening too. It was a cute play and something I enjoy doing. The kids had no idea it was my birthday until they got home from school, Steve forgot to inform them earlier. I did tell Briana but she didn't believe me cause she didn't see any presents. I informed her of the grave truth, when you get as old as me sometimes you don't get presents. Since we didn't do to much on my actual birthday to celebrate I let them treat Sat. like my birthday too. We had a nice breakfast had chicken alfredo pizza for lunch/dinner and Steve made me some peanut butter rice krispy treats (my choice of desserts they wanted to make cake I really don't like cake and refused to have it, but I think rice krispy treats were a good substitute and we all enjoyed them.) Then last night I saw some fried chicken and I told Steve that sounded good I would take that instead of the pizza for my dinner so once again he came through and on Sun. he made fried chicken and mashed potatos for dinner it was lovely not to have to do the cooking and it tasted super yummy too and even a little left over for lunch tomorrow. Thanks Steve!!! Thanks to those who called and sent cards it is always nice to know you are thought of especially on your birthday.

And then there are some of us who have your birthday written on our calendar, and still forget to acknowledge it. Happy late birthday!
I'm glad your birthday was fun. And lunch out? That's always great. So glad we made Darren watch the kids that day. :)
