Summer Projects

It seems like Steve and I were so busy last summer that we were not able to do much of anything other than school work. We have both been working hard and taking classes to work towards our degrees. Steve is once again going to school this summer but I chose to take it off and enjoy some fun with the kids. Sierra and Briana are in a dance class and Briana thoroughly loves it, Sierra hasn't decided for sure one way or the other yet. All three of the kids started swimming lessons this morning and for Carson and Sierra it was a delight, however Briana had other opinions. She got right in the water she is not afraid of the water which is a good thing but she probably cried for the first ten or fifteen minutes because she didn't like her teacher he was a "BOY" she is three boy's shouldn't have cooties yet!! Anyways she told him right up front that she didn't like him and she wanted a girl teacher. After he gave a her a rubber ducky to play with she warmed up to the idea and played for the last fifteen minutes. Anyways we have started our summer visitors and have had the delight of our good friends Heidi, Darren, Alexia, Parker, and Lijah visit us we always look forward to their visits and they are never long enough we miss them and continually hope we can someday talk them into moving closer together again. This week my parents and Olivia will be visiting. We talked my dad into coming to help us with some projects. He is going to help us fix our front steps that have sunk about six inches or so and are such a hazard even Briana is so short her legs don't reach the whole length of the stair she has to kneel up to the top step. A much needed job to be done. We also hope to get some new doors hung and some handrails that my dad very graciously made for us put up. A couple of weeks ago after Steve helped me finish planting the garden I told him I wanted a paver path put in and we started digging. Three weeks later we are almost finished we will hopefully be able to put the finishing touches on it this week and I will post pictures of it later. It is fun to have our own house and to be able to do fun things with it to give it character but it sure it expensive. Anyways we are very excited for everyone to visit and to have the help we need with our projects. Hope this summer is going great for everyone and we welcome anyone for visits.
