Catching Up

I just started uploading all the pictures that I haven't put on my computer yet and realized I am a little behind on blogging. So for the next few days look for the new posts. First of all look at these banans they were the longest bananas I have ever seen the kids were fighting over who should get to eat the biggest one. To be honest I'm not sure who won the fight but think maybe Steve ended up taking it to work!! We also went to Salt Lake are for the weekend and stayed with my sister and Paityn loved going in and out of the dog kennel and she was mad when we finally made her get out.

My mom crocheted this darling dress, hat, and purse for Paityn and so we tried it on her the day we got it and she ran around in it for a while and carried the purse around. It was hard to get her to sit still for a picture so when I dressed her in it for church I decided to snap a couple with me holding her so she would be still for a minute. Thanks grandma for the cute dress, I got lots of comments at church about it!

There it Went!!

I have been trying to convince Sierra that she should cut her hair. She gets headaches quite often and I've been telling her she should cut her hair and it would help but she didn't want to so I just left it at that. Last Friday night she had a dream she cut her hair and on Saturday morning she told me she wanted a hair cut. I had a meeting in the morning and I thought maybe by the time I got back she would have changed her mind but she didn't so All the girls except Paityn went to the salon and Sierra, Briana, and I all got our hair cut. Sierra's was the most dramatic as you can see she had just enough to donate to locks of love. Way to go Sierra someone else is going to love you hair just as much as you do.

My Kids Love Each Other!!

I guess my kids do love each other!! I saw the nicest thing today. I help in Briana and Carson's classrooms every Tues. today I went and helped in Briana's then ran a couple errands and headed back to Carson's class. I signed in at the office and headed to his class that is at the farthest end of the hallway when I got there the door was closed. I tried to go in but the door was locked so I knocked and waited, then I knocked again and waited, then as I was waiting I looked at the door and there is a heart that says I love you Carson From Sierra! The school has hearts that anyone from your family could come fill out and tape to the walls of the school this week. After I knocked and waited a couple more times I finally got into the classroom and then when I talked to Carson he said mom look and showed me the heart and then he said I am going to make her one too!! What a great day to know the kids really do love each other even though most the time you can't tell.

YW New Beginnings

Sierra got invited to YW New Beginnings this year so Amelie, Sierra and I went. There night was focused on "Your Happily Ever After is Now" it was fun they had a castle made out of cardboard all over the room and then each of the girls had tiara's that were really fun. Someone let me borrow their tiara so we could take the picture. Wow I cannot believe Sierra will turn 12 this year, it is a big year for us I guess Carson will turn 8 and Sierra 12 fun to have two great things in one year!! How time flies....

Christine, Brandon, and their kids came to our house and spent a Saturday with us. Here are some of the fun pictures of the kids. It is not often all the grandkids are together so we took advantage of the opportunity and made them get some pictures together. As you can see they were not always cooperative or willing but made for some fun pictures anyways. Thanks for coming to visit!

One of those days

So maybe if I write about my day last week in the future I can read this and laugh about it. Friday I had decided to have my friend and her sister over for lunch. On thursday I got the house all cleaned up so all I had to do was make lunch. So before I even took the kids to school a whole bowl of cereal landed all over the table and the CLEAN floor. I got started on lunch before I took the kids to school and for somre reason it took me the whole morning to get it all ready.
I didn't even get a shower before my friend came at about 20 minutes till when she was going to be here I ran and put some clothes on but on my way stopped in the living room to pick a couple things off the floor. There was a newspaper on the floor and I picked it up and it smelled like paint so I wondered for a second if Steve had used it when he was painting the day before. As I picked it up I noticed a whole bottle of fingernail polish spilled on the chair and the carpet. My nephew had somehow gotten the polish open and had it all over him and the carpet and chair. I ran to get dressed and finish lunch and just kept the kids out of that room cause I didn't know how to get it out of the carpet at the moment anyways.
So my lunch guests arrive and my nephew was just being awnry through the whole meal and so my friends little boy and Kaden got down and went downstairs to play. After a little bit they had been quiet so my friend goes to see what is going on and finds that they have gotten Sierra's body powder and Kaden had sprinkled it all over Carson's room. So we are cleaning up lunch and the boys are still playing and then Paityn starts screaming come to find that Kaden is being mean to her too and him and Paityn have chocolate all over their faces so I took him to my room for a time out. I then was finishing visiting with my friend and just before they are leaving the little boy was saying that Kaden had put shampoo in the toilet but I checked the upstairs and didn't see anything so I didn't think any more of it. After my friend left I started with the fingernail polish and worked on it for a little bit and then had to let some stuff sit on it so I headed downstairs to clean up the mess down there. I found that Sierra's room had been all messed up and her chocolate had been strewn all over the room and half eaten. Then I went to turn the light off in the bathroom and found the toilet full of toothbrushes, floss, and little hotel shampoos, conditioners body washes and lotions all dumped out and the bottles in the toilet. I have a picture on my phone but don't know how to get it from there to the computer and didn't get one with the camera before I had it cleaned up. The fingernail polish is lighter but not gone from the carpet. Needless to say I was kind of glad for the break at 5 to go to Las Vegas to pick up our exchange student from the airport cause we left Sierra and the two little ones with a babysitter!!! Just one of those days when you wonder if anything else could go wrong. On a good note lunch with Rebecca and Robyn was great and the food was good!! I guess it was one of Kaden's terrible two moments he is almost three though so hopefully those will be the terrific three's!
