SURPRISE!!!
Yeah we are so excited we got to welcome our new little Paityn into the world early this morning. My water broke at 1:00 A.M. and we had her at 4:22. Thank you for being quick Paityn. She is so cute has dark hair, as you can see, and is all we could hope for healthy and we are happy!!! The kids are not allowed (swine flu precautions) in the hospital so we will have to post pictures of them with her in a couple of days. We should be home tomorrow night. Please do not be offended if we have not called you but we are limited on our cell phone minutes again so we have to wait until after six to call!!
Her stats are:

19 inches long
Born at 4:22 A.M.
I guess this one picture will have to do the hospitals internet doesn't want to download the pictures so more will come when I get home.

Funny Girl
Briana has said a couple of funny things in the last couple of days I thought I would share. First of all she is giving a talk in church today and it is supposed to have to do with "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" so I wrote her a talk about the part that says what a successful family needs to do. Needless to say when she says successful it comes out "SUCSEXFUL". Steve laughed so hard when he heard her the first time. I hope he doesn't laugh in primary when he helps her with her talk today.
Last night Steve was putting some hamburger in some baggies to freeze and then I wanted him to make some meatloaf. It was getting late and the kids were still up so I told each of them to go get some stuff and help make the meatloaf. Sierra got the ketchup and barbeque sauce, and eggs, Briana got some bread and I gave a piece to her and one to Carson to go break into the bowl. Everything was in the bowl and Steve asked who wanted to get their hands dirty and squish everything together. He had no takers!! So Steve got a fork and started mixing and Briana said "Wow, so that's how you make meatloaf; you just put a lot of stuff in and you just smush it all together?" It was so funny cause she was dead serious and she said wow and then paused like she was just in awe and then she said the rest, what a funny girl.
As for the baby she is still baking and seems to have no desire to get a move on!!! I am dialated to 4 cm and just waiting I had my membranes stripped on Friday but nothing has changed so we will go back tomorrow and try again if that doesn't work then we might choose to be induced sometime next week. Steve mentioned a week or so ago that this is our year for patience and I guess the baby got that memo and not the one that said all my babies should come early!!

"Nothing we can't Handle"
I was thinking this morning I should write that my week has gotten better. The mouse was caught Monday I did lose quite a bit of sleep because I was silly and didn't make Steve get up and make sure it was caught when I heard the trap flip and instead I kept wondering if it really worked or maybe it tried to flip but hit the bottom of the dishwasher and missed the mouse, you know how a mind can make you crazy. I heard if flip before midnight and I should have asked Steve to go check it out but didn't want to wake him up and I didn't want to look at it!! Hopefully that will be our last mouse experience for awhile.
We also lucked out with Briana she never seemed sick other than the diarrhea so I guess she just must have had an upset stomach from something she ate. I am very glad this baby will come soon and I really don't want to have sick kids at the same time.
So needless to say I guess the Lord knew that the only thing I can really handle this week is the fact that this baby is still inside!!! I know she will eventually come out but boy waiting can really make you crazy sometimes too. I have tried to be so prepared the last couple of weeks keeping the laundry done and making sure their is food to eat and what not and I am starting to just not worry about it anymore the kids have a four day weekend so I won't have to worry so much about getting them to and from school so that will be nice and hopefully we will have good news soon and cute pictures to share.

UGH!!
First of all if you look at the baby ticker we have a week and a half to go before the due date and I have hardly any contractions what is up with this baby doesn't she know all my babies come early and I am ready to be me again to bend over and breathe and do all those things the Sarah I knew 9 months ago could do? So hopefully she is on her way soon!!!
Second of all Briana wakes up this morning and pees her pants and has diarrhea great I ask her why she is sick and she says oh (last wed.) when we went on our field trip someone was sick but didn't know it yet. GREAT!! So does this mean the swine flu is on its way to our house? Hope not we will keep her hydrated today and hope it passes quick and that no other symptoms arise she looks fine and seems to feel fine still she ate breakfast and doesn't seem sick so keep your fingers crossed.
Third I sat down to check email this morning and it felt like I kept seeing something just over the top of the computer but everytime I looked up I didn't see anything then all of a sudden I saw the movement again and wouldn't you know it was a mouse that had come out from under the dishwasher and when I gasped it ran back in. So we now have a trap set and hope it doesn't take long to catch the mouse. I am not a mouse person so luckily for me Bro. Hart upstairs will take care of it if it is caught before Steve gets home.
On a funny note Briana was in the other room when I saw the mouse so she really doesn't know what it looks like but she asked if it looks like ratitoulle and I said a little but smaller so she thinks it should be her pet, GROSS. She kept going over by the dishwasher and standing and saying see I am not afraid I said ya till it comes running out. We will see if she sees it eventually if she will change her mind when she sees how fast it moves!!
What a way to start a week! Hopefully it gets better!!

Field Trip
Briana got to go on her first field trip this morning to the pumpking patch. As she was getting ready to go she said "I need my backpack" I told her she didn't need it today remember and she said "but what about the rest of the learning" I said "you will be on the field trip the whole time" she was so excited. The other two kids went to school early this morning as well and so they were all up before 7:00 this morning and our regular time is more like 7:30 or closer to 8:00 so it was an early morning. I picked Briana up from school and she was carrying I think one of the bigger pumpkins of any of the kids and she looked pretty tired. She later told me she had to carry that pumpkin a long ways. She ate some lunch and I told her maybe she should lay down for a nap, I didn't even have to suggest more than once I went to change the laundry and when I got back in the kitchen she had cleared her plate and had gone straight to bed. The pumpkin patch really wore her out.

Baby Blanket
Last night while Steve and Brother Hart (from upstairs) went to the priesthood session Sister Hart came down and helped the kids sew a baby blanket for the new baby. The kids were so excited to help. Sister Hart let them run the foot pedal and the flipper for the foot. Sierra was in charge of the instructions and making sure the right pieces of fabric were being put in the right places. The blanket was so soft and comfy when they were done they all thought they should get to sleep with it. Just feeling the soft comfy blanket makes me excited to have this baby so we can wrap her up in it and snuggle up with her. (The kids took most of the pictures they didn't want me bothering them.)

Getting Ready
I have felt very unprepared for this baby especially after visiting my good friend who was due just less than a month before me this summer and she had a whole closet full of diapers and formula and wipes and all kinds of good stuff I started getting a little nervouse about being ready. After visiting her I feel like I have come a long ways still not a whole closet full of diapers but I have a few packages and a costco box of wipes and the baby clothes have been found, washed and put away, the hospital bag is mostly packed, there are a couple of frozen meals in the freezer, and some easy stuff like burritos Steve can fix for the kids while I am in the hospital, I went grocery shopping two days ago and so I think it is about time for this baby to come. Wouldn't that be nice if we could just know but for some reason kids have a mind of their own from the beginning. I did go to the doctor today and they did check me and I am at 3cm YEAH!!! almost a 3rd of the way there. Not to get the hopes up too high though you never know how long you can stay at any point of dialation. Sooo if you are wondering what we are doing around here we are waiting. I think the kids really don't quite get that their sister could be here anyday I did tell Sierra that a couple of days ago and she said "no not another kid to drive me crazy" or something to that affect and Briana just prays for her to be healthy and strong I think I won't tell them too much so the wait won't be as long for them. I am pretty sure they won't get to visit in the hospital anyways I saw on the news last night that no one under the age of 14 will be aloud to be visitors in the hospital all a precaution against the swine flu.
