Compassionate Carson

Carson came home from school today and told me that one of the boys in his class at school was going to a new school tomorrow. The little boy has autism and does not know how to talk yet. Carson came home from school last week and was so excited he said they had taught him some words. Anyways he was telling me he was going to the new school tomorrow it is a special school for him to get better help and Carson said "Mom I am going to pray for Teddy tomorrow at breakfast" I thought it was so thoughtful of him to know that it will be hard for this little boy to have change and he wanted to pray for him. It amazes me the love of a child because even though this little boy wandered around the room and made lots of loud noises and was often distractive they all still love and care for him. Way to show us Christlike love Carson, I am proud of you!!!

MUSCLES

Carson was changing his clothes after church on Sunday and he says "Look mom" and proceded to show me his muscles and then Briana came up and wanted to show me hers too I thought it was so cute. Briana was straining so hard to show them and she thinks they are her forearm!!!! Cute kids!!! Love Them!!!

Thank goodness for Carson

I made the blog resolution and I have been trying to figure out what I could post when Carson came through for me. Kids say some of the cutest things. Yesterday Carson got the mail and he brought it in and
I said "Let me see it"
He said, "I want to see if there are any bills I can pay"
I said, "You can pay all the bills if you want"
He then handed it to me and
He said, "Are there any Christmas cards?"
I said, "Christmas is over"
He said, "Are there any January cards?"
What a good idea I love Christmas cards as much as the kids do it is so fun to see what everyone is up to. We should keep in touch with people more often than once a year or maybe next year we will send out January cards instead so people can have a pick me up in January too. (I probably won't remember this by next year) but we shall see.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandma Ruth today. We hope she has a great birthday!!!!

Snuggly Outfit

Snuggly with puppy in pocket

Hello Lucy, how do you like your new bed?

Stuff, stuff, stuff, she didn't want her peaking out

Briana wanted to put her dance outfit on and dance to some music Sierra had on but we had somewhere to go so I told her to just put a skirt over her clothes. I guess she couldn't decide which one cause she came out in all three.

Briana has a snuggly outfit (as we call it) that she loves it is a pull over sweatshirt and big comfy pants. She wears them all the time winter summer she doesn't care what the weather. The ones she had were getting a little small and my mom had to take the elastic out of the sleaves because it was cutting her circulation off. So my mom made her a new snuggly outfit. She loves it too and will probably want to wear it everyday. She put her little puppy dog in the pocket and saids "this is her bed and I can sleep in this too". Thanks grandma!!!!!

Big Helper

Carson watching for cars he is always watching for cars when he is getting the garbage

Look I can do it with one hand!!!

Carson is in charge of bringing the garbage back to its spot after it has been dumped. He takes pride in the fact that he can do it by himself. This week was a little tricky, because of all the snow it was knocked over but he just got down and picked it up and took it back where it belongs. In the picture he was holding it in the one arm and pulling it so he could show how strong he was. He is a cutie. Thanks for being a good helper Carson.

Ringin in the New Year

We were watching for the ball to fall
Sierra and Sarah

Martha and Carson

Steve and sleepy Briana

These are just some pictures of us about 11:40 or so on New Year's Eve. Briana had just fallen asleep she couldn't stay up. Sierra and I opened her eyes for just a second when the clock struck 12. Martha came over and we had all kinds of fun finger foods for dinner then we played some games and watched some movies and then Finally we got to go to bed. Yeah for 2009 hope it is a great one for everyone. Sorry I am a little out of order but I forgot that we took these pictures until I was doing the last post and I went back to see if I had missed anything.

Who needs a ski slope?

Sorry these were not very good night pictures
Taking a rest!!!!

Scoop, Scoop, Scoop some more

Here is the pile next to the porch you can see that it is higher than the porch.

Seriously we do not need ski slopes we have it all in our yard. It has basically been snowing since yesterday afternoon and I think we are getting close to another two feet. Steve said the snow was higher than our first step you couldn't see the first step, and that was last night. I had to run some errands today and I am sure my blood pressure was elevated the whole time. The roads are a mess. I am one that believes in a little bit of snow in the valleys and the rest of it should just be in the mountains. I am not against moisture just in the right places. I love the rain but the snow is a different story. Steve finally told me last night as he was finishing up the scooping around 9:30 that he is ready to move to Arizona too, it may be due to the fact that I think he has scooped it more this year than any other year of our marriage so far. Good for him time for me to have a break. Anyways anyone looking for a little snow come on over and play. The kids will join you and I will watch from the comforts of my couch and a nice snuggly blanket.

Room Service

When August comes around it seems like the money is sparse and so I usually get a little slighted for my birthday so this last year I decided to ask for a bigger present. I wanted season tickets to a local theatre. Steve and I got to go to the first play for our date this week. It was called Room Service and it was really fun to see it was a comedy. Today the kids were looking at the program and wanted to know if they could go next time so we will have to see, they like to go see plays too. It was fun to do something other than dinner and a movie for our date. We are pretty boring when it comes to creative dating. If anyone has any fun ideas or suggestions let us know I am always trying to find something else fun to do.

New Year's Blog resolution

I think my New Year's Blog resolution will be to post at least 10 posting per month. That obviously works out to be about two a week. I hope I can handle that. I know it doesn't amount to the same as writing in my journal everyday but I think if I look back at my latest journal it will definetly out do the fact that it has probably been a year or more since I have actually hand written something.
